Who is Dmitry Sigaev? A high energy physics theorist with a fourteen-year exposure to programming. I like banter, sarcasm, and black humor. I am good at C, Perl, network protocols, math, physics (hoping to get a Ph.D. in it, sort of). A few other things, too. I never got a formal education in computer science (never regretted that, either), although I coded a lot of stuff. Decent, good with kids. Oops, scratch the last bit.

For the last few years, I have concentrated on high-performance computing for lattice quantum chromodynamics. I currently work at the Center for Theoretical Physics at MIT.

My Research

For the time being this section contains some gory details of one of my current projects, the pentaquark two-point correlation analysis.

My papers in SPIRES HEP.

Gif & Jpegin Russian

Photos of me, my friends and places I've been to, etc.

Latest public galleries:

12/2006: Orlando (and a bit of Boston) 01/2005: New York & CTP theory retreat

Note a Russian version (the galleries were meant to be bilingual back in 2003) and a restricted access zone (photos either I or other people don't want public).

My Programs

I meant to publish man pages of some of my quick programs here, descriptions for others, etc. I coded a pretty good snooker simulator in 1998. Neat and lightning fast 3D graphics (assembly, no acceleration), nice ray-traced pictures. Bells and whistles. The major thing was smooth spheres (as opposed to polygonized ones). Okay, okay, cutting to the chase. I haven't gotten around to taking screen shots yet.

For now, enjoy one and a half man pages :-)
